Licensed Site Professional (LSP)
Position Summary
Aries Engineering is seeking an experienced Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to lead and support environmental site assessment, investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects in Massachusetts and throughout New England. The successful candidate will serve as LSP of Record on applicable Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) projects, provide technical guidance, manage client relationships, and help grow the firm’s environmental services practice.
Essential Responsibilities
Serve as LSP of Record for assigned MCP response-action projects, providing professional judgment, regulatory oversight, and required LSP Opinions.
Lead site characterization, environmental investigation, and remedial-action projects involving soil, groundwater, sediment, soil gas, and vapor intrusion.
Prepare, review, certify, and submit MCP documents to MassDEP, including Immediate Response Action (IRA), Release Abatement Measure (RAM), Phase I–V reports, status reports, completion reports, Permanent Solution Statements, and Activity and Use Limitations (AULs), as applicable.
Conduct technical review of field data, laboratory analytical results, risk assessments, remedial designs, engineering controls, and construction documentation.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoices, work plans, and deliverables to meet client and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) credential in good standing.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a closely related field.
10+ years of progressively responsible environmental consulting, regulatory, remediation, or site-investigation experience; preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience serving as LSP of Record.
Working knowledge of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 21E, the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (310 CMR 40.0000), and MassDEP filing and reporting requirements.
7+ years in a Project Leadership role.
Excellent technical writing, communication, organization, and client-service skills.
